"In the 90's while American franchise was booming. We wanted something different."

As the owner of PT Puri Inti Rasa, Paulus Indra started to make his proposal to many of European embassy for the opportunity to open a new franchise of their cafés. The Austrian Embassy was the first to respond.

So, in 1995 he went to Austria to overlook the café concept in Vienna.
Over 2 years, Paulus Indra searched for the best concept and the best food in capital city of Austria.

He then brought the café concept in Vienna to Indonesia, the grand atmosphere supported with original furniture from Austria, the color, the service, the music, and of course...the food & drinks!

Beside main courses, Café Wien also famous for its mouthwatering pastry, and the coffee and tea are always served in a small silver tray just like in Austria. The first café at Plaza Senayan upper floor. It opened on May 3rd 1997.

The extravagant feeling in the café, the delicious food, and the first classservice made this café become a favorite place for many businessman to hold lunch meeting, have a coffee break...or just enjoy the piano & strings playing, beside the foods to indulge the appetite. The customers who visit Café Wien are young executives, professionals and business owners from middle up economic status.
In Many cases, Café Wien uniqueness and luxury has brought in loyal customers to dine more than once a week.
